Please read these terms carefully before using our services
Last updated: 18 May 2026
These terms govern your use of the matrimonial registration platform at jainvadhuvarsansthapune.com and the related installable web app, Android, and iOS apps (collectively, the “Service”) operated by Jain Vadhu-Var Parichay Sanstha Pune (the “Sanstha”). By creating an account, registering for a Melawa event, or using any feature of the Service, you accept these terms.
These terms comply with India’s Information Technology Act, 2000 (as amended) and the IT (Intermediaries Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021. The Sanstha operates as an intermediary that enables registered users to view profiles of other registered users for the purpose of matrimonial alliance.
You must be of legal age to marry under Indian law — above 18 years if female and above 21 years if male — and legally competent to enter into a marriage. You must be a member of, or willing to be treated as a member of, the Jain Shwetamber Gujarathi Samaj community.
You agree not to: impersonate any person; upload obscene, defamatory, or unlawful content; use the Service to harass, stalk, defraud, or send unsolicited commercial messages; scrape, copy, or republish profiles or photographs without express consent; interfere with the Service’s security or operation; or use the Service for any commercial matchmaking, dating, or non-matrimonial purpose. The Sanstha will report serious violations to law enforcement.
Every registration is reviewed by a Karyakarta. The Sanstha and the Karyakarta have absolute discretion to approve, request corrections to, reject, suspend, or terminate any profile, with or without reason, and reserve the right to remove or edit content that violates these terms or community standards.
The Sanstha may deactivate or suspend any profile, with or without prior notice, for violations of these terms, for misuse, for misrepresentation, or for any reason the Sanstha deems necessary to protect the community. In such cases all amounts paid may be forfeited. You may terminate your account at any time using the public deletion request form at https://www.jainvadhuvarsansthapune.com/delete-account.
The Service, its software, and its non-user-generated content are the property of the Sanstha or its licensors and are protected by copyright. Photographs and personal information you upload remain yours; by uploading you grant the Sanstha a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, and share that content within the Service for matrimonial matchmaking and related Melawa publications, for as long as your account is active.
The Service is provided “as is”. The Sanstha disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The Sanstha disclaims all responsibility for misrepresentation by users and for any outcome — financial, emotional, social or otherwise — of relationships initiated through the Service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Sanstha’s total liability for any claim arising under or in connection with these terms shall not exceed the amount actually paid by you to the Sanstha in the twelve months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Sanstha, its office bearers, karyakartas, employees and contractors against any claims, damages, or expenses arising from (a) your breach of these terms, (b) information you provided that turns out to be false, misleading, or unlawful, or (c) your conduct toward any other user.
The Sanstha is not liable for failure to perform any obligation under these terms when caused by events outside its reasonable control, including pandemics, epidemics, government action, internet outages, infrastructure failure, or natural disasters.
We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. We will notify registered users of material changes by email and/or via an in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
All disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be governed by the laws of India and shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Pune, Maharashtra.
